Web Application Firewall

Man Over Machine's Web Application Firewall (WAF) keeps a close watch on who's trying to visit your site. It checks their IP addresses and the software they're using to browse. If it spots anything suspicious or something you've flagged as unwanted, it stops them in their tracks.
What sets our WAF apart from regular security measures is its proactive approach. While typical security tools step in when an attack happens, our WAF ensures potential threats don't even get close to your site. (Want to dive deeper into how WAFs operate? Check out our guide.)
With our WAF, your site is shielded from various online threats, including sneaky requests from other sites, harmful scripts, unauthorized file access, and attempts to mess with your site's database.

Setting Up Your WAF with Man Over Machine
A Web Application Firewall (WAF) acts like a security guard for your website. It checks all incoming traffic and ensures it follows certain rules before it can access your WordPress site. Man Over Machine provides a tailored set of WAF rules, but you also have the flexibility to customize them. Here's how you can adjust the settings:
- Allow specific IP addresses
- Block certain IP addresses
- Permit specific User Agents (browsers or devices)
- Block specific User Agents
- Allow certain URLs
- Block specific URLs
- Turn off certain rule IDs
Toggle the On/Off button in the "Web Application Firewall" section to turn the feature on or off with Man Over Machine.

This feature is available to "Machine" and above accounts.
