Our PHP Support Policy with Man Over Machine
At Man Over Machine, we're committed to giving you top-notch security and the best possible hosting speed. That's why we only offer support for the most recent and secure PHP versions. Right now, when you create a new site with us, it'll automatically use PHP 8.1, the latest release.
However, be aware that some external plugins might not be up-to-date and could have issues with this new PHP version. If that happens, you can check for plugin updates, search for alternative plugins, or, as a last resort, we allow you to switch back to an older PHP version that's still getting security updates.
Thinking of upgrading to the newest PHP version? It's a good idea to test how your site will work with it first. We suggest switching the PHP version in your trial (staging) area and checking everything there before making the change on your main site.
To change your PHP version with Man Over Machine, simply click on the displayed PHP version number.
You'll see a list of the PHP versions that Man Over Machine supports in a pop-up window. Just pick the one you want to use and hit the "Apply" button.
